A Walk In the Woods

This is one we couldn't identify. A friend thought is might be blue cohosh,
I couldn't confirm that.

The aforementioned friend also identified this one as Twinleaf . . .

. . . and this as Siberian Squill

Fiddlehead fern

Looking at the ground . . . lots of things happen there.

Crayfish and Equisetum (had to look up how to spell that one!)

Cut-Leaved Toothwort (Evie tells me that "wort" means common.)

Wow that was fun! We also saw a female pileated woodpecker, and were escorted on our bikes by hundreds of warblers. We will go out again soon, for sure!
