Best weekend in recent memory

Ever since we started grocery shopping on Wednesdays (two weeks ago) our weekends are much better. Scott works at home, Evie doesn't go to school, why were we grocery shopping with the masses on the weekend? Last night Evie had a sleepover with friends, at their house. We watched "Chasing Amy" and went to Dairy Queen.

This morning we were treated to an interpretive dance performance by Evie and three friends. It involved a hide-a-bed, teletubbies and hula. It was wonderful. We went for a bike ride this afternoon and stopped at my favorite park in the city. If you live in Madison you will have to email for details because I am not going to give away the secret to just anyone! It is a park with no equipment just deep stream gullies, moldy leaves, a sacred rock circle and more fallen trees than you can count. We made an AWESOME house out of branches and used it as a blind to watch wildlife.

Tomorrow our city pool opens, we will go even if it is 50 degrees. Following are some quotes I came across that I like:

"Kids: They dance before they learn there is anything that isn't music" William Stafford, poet
"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes" Marcel Proust

With the right eyes, it is ALL well lived!
