Time

A few things to say this morning.

I think penmanship is irrelevant. Learning to write in beautiful ways should be an undertaking of desire and joy--not mandatory.

I thinking reading an analog clock is still a relevant and important skill.

I think children deserve to be in charge of their own time. Their plans and desires should have equal weight in the household. Everyone must make compromises. Sometimes it is first-come, first-served.

I think wandering is good.

I think that is all I should say for now.

Being in the medical field, I can tell you that good penmanship and brains do not go hand-in-hand! I do sometimes struggle with how little my kids write, but then, when they have something they really want to get down on paper, they really put effort into it and get it done. It is a funny thing, this trusting. Thanks for the reminder.
