The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Preserving food for winter is always both a chore and a joy. It means endless steam, sticky floors, jars and lids everywhere, timers beeping and food mills cranking. It also means applesauce and berries, green beans, tomato sauce, potatoes, and pears all winter long. Time to get started!

That's what I said yesterday!
I called it a race. (happy and free, not olm) :)

Raspberry jam, plum cordial, brandied pears, pears for Maddie, pear sauce, peach jam, dried peaches, dried apples and apple sauce!
No doubt the second I'm done with these, it will be tomatoes, peppers, and salsa!

woohoo!
