Loose Ends

This YouTube video is of Evie's logrolling teacher, Shana Martin, participating in the 2007 Fitness America competition. In addition to being a professional log roller and personal trainer she is also a black-belt in karate, a fitness model, a triathlete, a fitness competitor, an Ironwoman and an active volunteer and fundraiser for the Huntington's Disease Society of America. She is one of the most awesome people I have ever met, she still calls her dad "Daddy" and I am thrilled that she is a role model for Evie. As she said about the video, "Cheesy? Yes! Fun? Absolutely!"

Other things I have been meaning to get on the blog:

A sudden interest in Latin has popped up and we are really enjoying this series. Thrilled sum!

I worked for a literary agent in New York during my senior year of college, she specialized in science fiction and fantasy and I was introduced to all sorts of wonderful authors. We are devouring these:

And I just ordered these for Evie from the library:

Amazing...we loved the video...the strength and enthusiasm is very contagious! How lucky for Evie to have such a wonderful role model in her life. Keegan said that Shana could be in Cirque du Soleil.

We love that Evie is a competitive logroller...what a cool sport to be involved in!!!!

Also thanks for the links on the sci-fantasy books...the boys' thought they should put them on their wishlist...dragons rock as Rohnan likes to tell everyone.
