And We Rest

It FINALLY snowed! Perfect for Thanksgiving morning! We spent the day with my parents, built a snow fort, did crafts, played games, danced, cooked, ate and lounged. The day after we cleaned and brought out the first of our Christmas decorations. The bottom picture is of decorations my grandpa made in 1971 out of egg cartons. He made hundreds to decorate the tree when my parents got married (late December). On of my favorite traditions is stringing them all along our living room ceiling the day after Thanksgiving. I got (and get) so much from my grandparents, I am so glad Evie is so close to hers.

With dark evenings and cold temperatures, FINALLY I can sit and rest--boy do I need it!
