Circle the world. . .

We spent the last four days in Door County, WI. We hiked in Peninsula State Park, paddled out to Horseshoe Island and walked its entire perimeter, paddled up the Mink River Estuary and silently watched a curious Blue Heron. My parents joined us and we visited the Cana Island Lighthouse and played on the rocks finding crayfish and leeches and bugs and fish. We watched a crayfish finish molting and then delicately touched its new skin. We saw millions of butterflies and swam in freezing cold Lake Michigan. Of course we ate cherries too!

Now my laundry is drying in the late afternoon sunshine. . . days and days and days well lived!
