Giving Thanks

Earth who gives to us our food,
Sun who makes it ripe and good,
Dearest Earth and dearest Sun.
Joy and love for all you've done.
For life and food,
We give thanks.
Hurrah!

That has been our table blessing since Evie was very young. We have ever so much to be thankful for this year. We spent three great days with my parents. On Friday Scott and my dad put in a new backdoor at our house, we had a ballet performace and a Cinderella puppet show and my parents' house, as well as a scavenger hunt and a rollicking kickball game. We worked together on the above banner, we always do a craft for display on Thanksgiving day, I think we outdid ourselves this year. Of course there was yummy food, good conversation and lots of silliness. This is my favorite time of year.
