Life is a quickly passing thing!

Well, it has been almost a month since I have posted here with my usual regularity. Our trip to Scotland was amazing. We went to a picnic with a homeschooling group and learned a lot more about "home educating" in Scotland. Evie made friends wherever we went. We learned about Scotland's bloody and fractious history, we toured a castle that was occupied until 1957, we toured a castle from 1350. We ate crisp (potato chip) flavors such as "vintage cheddar with red onion chutney," "roasted chicken with lemon and thyme," and "sweet Thai chili."

Coming home was hard for me--I have to share my family more here. I haven't been blogging because we have been busy but also becasue I just wanted to savor our family life for myself. I have been starting to hear from a few of you who read regularly (I still can't believe there are such people) wondering what has happened. Okay, I am back. Our life is amazing and I am going to try to capture a little bit of our daily wonder on this blog in an effort to preserve it and to inspire others who may just be starting on this free life journey.

Follwing are some cool Scotland pictures, there are too many to post them all!

I'm curious -- did you meet more, or less, unschoolers in Scotland than you do here? (I think I was mouthy_mom when I posted here before, but plan to stick with mammal_mama now.)
