Extra! Extra!
Today Evie published the first issue of her newspaper "The Four-Star Gazette." Blogger is having issues uploading photos so you will have to take my word for it. The paper includes two feature stories, an interview, comics, weather and household hints. She hopes to publish each Monday.
We failed hopelessly on "Learn Nothing Day" and learned all sorts of things. Did you know car seats have expiration dates and Rattus Rattus is the Latin name for a black rat AND the spell used to communicate with Messenger Rats in the book Magyk? Birds are immune to the spiciness of capsaicin and the word "gazette" comes from the name of a Venetian coin "gazetta" originally used to purchase newspapers. Oh well, we tried ;)
Here are some things we have recently discovered and are enjoying:

My daughter really liked the Mysterious Benedict Society too. I'll have to check out the Unschooler's link.
Cool - what a great idea.
Yeah, we learned all kinds of things...like what is this insect that crawled out of the pot from the plant store? :) Ha.
