Actual dinner

We worked last night and today, but today's event was a festival we've been involved with, in some capacity or another, for years. It is like a day of talking with friends! We got to make people happy by making yummy pizza. We were done and home by 2:30 so we got to go grocery shopping--as a family!

We looked through cookbooks, noted what we bought at our farmers' market this morning, and then planned a whole week's worth of meals! (We don't work again until next Sunday).

For dinner we had savory corn griddle cakes with hot chipotle honey and a salad made of baby spinach, shaved fennel, roasted beets, orange vinaigrette and toasty croutons with goat cheese. All new recipes, we all liked all of them.

So nice to have such luxury.
