All the Time

It is pretty much all sewing, all the time around here lately. I wanted to doing something nice for Evie so we went to the fabric store Sunday and got a little crazy (think a bit of brocade and taffeta). I also bought her this book for which she has eschewed all other reading since we got it. We're organizing the sewing room, making changes. The focus, creativity, risks and determination are awe-inspiring. It is interesting to watch this passion evolve. At first she wanted nothing to do with what anyone else thought sewing should be. Now she is reading and asking questions and trying things--soaking in the knowledge and experience of others and making it her own.

Once again, work and life and play are not separate. Lucky girl.
