Canyoneering Day 2

We had so much fun with Tom and Hank the first day, we wanted to do more. They recommended a few places we could go on our own! We went canyoneering just the three of us!!!!!!!!!!

We rented all the gear from ZAC, including dry suits. Evie said she wanted some deep swims. The water in the canyons is snow melt and FREEZING!

We did Keyhole Canyon and took a few lousy pictures so look at that link for good ones!

There were four rappels, LOTS of wading and three deep swims. It is incredible to be so deep in the earth, isolated and yet surrounded. Words can't describe the feelings of awe and accomplishment and straight-out wonder at this place. Zion National Park is amazing. On the one hand it makes you feel so small and insignificant, on the other hand, one feels a part of a giant whole.

We are lucky!

You are lucky, thanks for sharing these amazing pictures. My oldest son turns 10 in July, not sure I can offer him such a wonderful present, but I am going to try, thanks for the idea!!

Oh, how fun! One of my favorite things to do when I lived in the SW. Love seeing photos.
