Finally!

Today finally came! Evie was up at 6:20 and we were out the door by 7:30. She and her two closest friends went (with one of the friends' mom) to a 4H model horse show. These girls have spent WEEKS dressing horses, writing stories about them, creating scenes for them. It has been so fun to see all of them work so hard. They had an absolute blast. Pics from the show yet to come but I asked Evie to recreate some of her entries in the living room so here they are!

She loved! Apparently the three girls made quite the splash becaus ethey made all their stuff (this is a very Breyer (brand) "buy it, make it perfect" kind of crowd. According to the mom who went with they got a lot of attention from the judges and the paents of other competitors because they were all so enthusiastic and creative. When I went to pick Evie up all three girls came running to show us one friend's Reserve Champion rosette, all of them chattering about how great it was. We didn't even know Evie won any ribbons until she started to unpack. For all of them the ribbons were totally not the point. Being together and being imaginative was what it was all about. SO sweet!
