Woke today to a sick chicken (Ricka). Is is sour crop? Egg bound? She has improved steadily throughout the day, is eating and drinking--sweet as ever but we are keeping a CLOSE eye on her.

Ran four miles.

Evie read Bella at Midnight.

Talked about proper, improper and mixed fractions.

Did some words problems.

We worked on the newspaper, Evie preferred to write "News Briefs" today--emphasis on the brief!

Evie dove back into "Little Women."

Spent lot sof time with Ricka.

Talked about the arbitrary nature of language.

Made garage sale signs.

Read a Ms. Frizzle book.

Talked about questions that interest us.
