Our Work Is to Play

We finally did the Diet Coke and Mentos experiment, I know, we are a bit behind the times! It worked splendidly and repeatedly!

We spent most of the day outside, digging (Evie's constant companion, Flicka, at her side), running, making obstacle courses, hanging bird feeders (made from the Diet Coke bottles of course) and just basking in the sun.

Evie worked diligently on a play off and on all day. It is called "The Girl and the Goblins." She writes a page and then I type what she has written. It is so fun to hear her voice in her writing.

We spent the evening singing and eating with good friends, got home late but had to play a round of Mille Bornes (can you get addicted to it like Bridge?)

In the spare moments of my day I read The Creative Family: How to Encourage Imagination and Nurture Family Connections by SouleMama, congratulations Amanda, the book is awesome!

Tomorrow night is the premiere of the Mad City Chicken Movie--the girls' stylist will be here at noon!

We haven't done that either, although A is VERY into geysers and hot springs right now, and I think it would be a perfect "experiment" to do with his topic... :)
