Yesterday we went to an alpaca festival. Apparently alpacas like small people (kids) because the kids are shorter than they are. They greet one another by touching noses. They are shy animals but Evie touched noses with many. Evie learned to spin from a generous woman with a spinning wheel.

Now I am listening to Evie and three friends playing library in our living room. They periodically empty our living room shelves of books (believe me that is quite a feat) organize them, make library cards and "start the game." It is nice to not really have much to do, I can just listen and live.
